Dr. Vijak Ayasanoda

Ke Ola Hou - Lahaina Resiliency Center is proud to formally introduce our Executive Director, Dr. Vijak Ayasanonda, MD! 

Dr. Ayasanonda also serves as the Medical Staff leader at Maui Memorial Medical Center (MMMC), where he provides leadership and guidance to the medical staff while fostering effective communication between the medical team and Maui Health administration. 

With over 20 years of experience as a physician, Dr. Ayasanonda has dedicated the past 16 years to emergency medicine in Hawaiʻi as part of the Emergent Medical Associates physician group. In 2008, he relocated from Queen’s Medical Center on Oʻahu to Maui, where he has since cared for both residents and visitors in MMMC’s Emergency Department. He has also played a key role in the hospital’s medical community, previously serving as the Emergency Medicine Chair.
